Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Colombo for a Senior Student Counselor at IED Australia. As a Senior Student Counselor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, assisting in their personal and academic development, and helping them navigate through challenges. You will collaborate with students, parents, and staff to create and implement programs and initiatives that promote student success and well-being.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in student counseling or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and the ability to build rapport with students
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and strategies
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field
- Experience in an educational setting and Visa Handling is preferred
